Teachers Day In India 2011: Happy Birthday Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Teachers mould us and in the process and shape our future. What we learn from our teachers remains with us, throughout our life. India celebrates Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan’s birthday on September 5 since 1962). As a matter of fact, when his students and friends asked him for the permission to celebrate his birthday, it was he who asked them to celebrate the day as Teacher’s Day, honoring the efforts of teachers across the country.

Days are special days for teachers for teachers to recognize and appreciate. As Aristotle once stated; “Those who educate children well are more to be honoured than parents, for these only gave life, those the art of living well.” Birthday of Sarvepalli Dr. Radhakrishnan came to be celebrated as Teachers Day on 5th September. Dr. Radhakrishnan is a excellent philosopher and a teacher.
